MADD Bordeaux
BRANDING, IDENTITY
Museum of Decorative Arts and Design of Bordeaux. Very beautiful private mansion built at the end of the 18th century, UNESCO world heritage. Furniture and works of art from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Dynamic program of temporary exhibitions on decorative arts and design.
Develop the museum’s reputation and attract a new public, which is not necessarily sensitive to art in general. To combine history and modernity in the visual identity, to have a recognizable and relevant visual identity while keeping the current MADD logo.
One color gradient for permanent exhibits and another color gradient for temporary exhibits. There will also be a general gradient for the MADD, for posters and other communication materials.
Why the gradient? The gradient is a mixture of colors, here it is supposed to represent the mixture of time, to combine the historical and the modern, and also to show a lively and dynamic side. The gadrients are often colored with bright colors so recognizable from afar (in car, transport…)
